Janet Karam is a Texas-based artist specializing in abstract urban art including figurative, cityscape and skyline paintings inspired by cultures around the world

Karam's contemporary painting style is lively and distinguished by bold, expressive brushwork and color application. Her style is marked by playful experimentation, funky abstraction, composition and design. Karam's method of painting includes applying many layers of paint, adding dimension and texture to her art in a progessive fashion, and thus building form with color.

Much of Karam's time devoted to painting and creating new works. She is a disciplined, curious and experimantal artist who enjoys her profession, much as a playful child discovering the world.
